The New York Mets completed a clean sweep over the New York Yankees last night as they won the fifth game in five days between the pair.
The Mets had won all four of the previous encounters over their city rivals which meant the Yankees have lost five in a row in a single season for the first time since a six game losing streak in May 2011.
It is the first time that the Mets have completed the Subway Series sweep over the world famous Yankees.
The Yankees now face three games against another New York rival as they play the Red Sox while the Mets play the same amount of games against the Miami Marlins.
Elsewhere the LA Angels beat their city rivals, the Dodgers to ensure their four games in four days finished at two apiece.
Chicago Cubs remained unbeaten over the White Sox from the same city for the past four days after they wrapped up their third win over the Illinois state rivals. The third game that was scheduled for Wednesday was postponed.
