Germany goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen had a moment to forget for his country during their 4-3 defeat to USA yesterday (Sunday).

The 21-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach stopper was earning his third cap under Joachim Low, but will quickly want to forget this particular appearance after conceding four against the Americans.

Indeed, Germany were a goal down after 13 minutes when Jozy Altidore scored the opener, before Ter Stegen’s horror moment just three minutes later.
The young keeper played a short goal-kick which eventually went to Benedikt Howedes. Under pressure, he passed it back to his keeper, but as Ter Stegen looked to open his body for a better clearance, only succeeded in touching the ball faintly into his own goal.

Clint Dempsey also scored twice in the second-half for Jurgen Klinsmann’s side, as goals from Heiko Westermann, Max Kruse and Julian Draxler proved to be in vain.

Watch the incredible goalkeeper error below, and let us know if it’s the worst you’ve ever seen in an international match…
