Liverpool are preparing to make a bid for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke in the summer if Luis Suarez leaves the club, according to The Daily Mail.
The Uruguayan forward announced his intentions of departing Anfield in the upcoming summer as he wants a change of experience and the club may have to start looking for a suitable replacement.
Despite confirming himself that he wants to leave, the club have made a statement saying that the striker is not for sale no matter what, but it looks like Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to test their determination of keeping the striker.
Madrid are reportedly weighing up a £40million move for Suarez and that move would interest the striker after his agent said they would find it hard to turn down a chance to play for Real Madrid.
Benteke, 22, is currently away on international duty with Belgium but he is expected to hold talks with Aston Villa once he returns to England and the club want him to sign a new contract so that there are no questions raised about his future.
Clubs like; Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are all interested in the Belgium after he had an impressive debut season in England.
The striker bagged 19 goals last season and his impressive performances have impressed many clubs and it looks like Liverpool will be the first to make a formal approach for the Belgium.
