Thibaut Courtois has exceeded expectations during his time at Atletico Madrid.
The Belgian youngster has cemented the number one position as his own in the Spanish capital and has put in many fine displays guarding the nets. Atletico are keen admirer's of the starlet but Chelsea are only willing to negotiate a loan deal as they view Courtois as been the long term successor for Petr Cech at Stamford Bridge.
Courtois recently tweeted a message to the Atletico Madrid fans stating that his intentions were to stay at Atletico for one more season.
Courtois is tipped for great things and Chelsea are lucky to have an excellent young keeper of high skill and quality on their roster who will one day replace the legendary Petr Cech as number one at Stamford Bridge.
Rumours of a loan extension for another year at Atletico will provide Courtois with another season of first team football gaining valuable experience all the time. Is it time though that he returns to Stamford Bridge?
Courtois will need a season to settle in at Stamford Bridge, learning all the time how the club is run, how to adjust to life living in England and how to interact with his new team mates.
A year in the company of Cech will also provide excellent teachings to Courtois who would pick up a number of key skills while been mentored by the Czech number one.
Courtois should return to his parent club where he can begin his career at Stamford Bridge and be on his way to becoming a superstar between the posts for Chelsea.
Do you think its time for Courtois to return to Chelsea? Have your say below.
