West Ham are set to sign Real Betis goalkeeper Adrian, according to the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old has spent just one season in the Real Betis first team, having been with the club his whole career.

It is expected that Adrian would be an understudy to Jussi Jaaskelainen with manager Sam Allardyce wanting some competition for the number one shirt at Upton Park.

It is alleged that Allardyce has been weighing up several options for the goalkeeping spot this summer.

There were supposed links linked Allan McGregor of Besiktas and Aston Villa’s Shay Given, 37.

However, both are also rumoured to be on the list of Hull manager Steve Bruce, who has also bid for Leicester goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel.

Adrian has also had interest from fellow La Liga clubs Espanyol and Getafe after having a mixed season which saw him play as an outfield player as well as being named man of the match after a 1-0 win over Real Madrid.

Real Betis are struggling financially so there is hope for Allardyce that West Ham can get a good deal for the 'keeper.
