Miguel Zuniga KO’d straight after goading Daquan Arnett

Now GMS like a bit of boxing braggadocio as much as the next comprehensive sports news and features website, but we would also advise some occasional restraint.

Miguel Zuniga could have done with some of that when trading blows in the fifth round of his bout with undefeated light middleweight Daquan Arnett on Saturday night in Sunrise, Florida.

The Mexican had his opponent on the ropes but Arnett was comfortable and not taking a great deal of punishment.

Zuniga’s mistake was stepping back for a breath and issuing a ‘come on’ gesture at the man from Orlando, inviting him to make it a war.

Sadly for the 25-year-old from Tijuana, Arnet did precisely that and floored him with the sharp jabbing left-hook that proved decisive in the bout.

Zuniga put in a game effort to stand the count but he was glassy-eyed and his corner threw in the towel – Arnett is now unbeaten in 11 pro fights.

Watch Miguel Zuniga get knocked out by Daquan Arnett straight after gesturing him to ‘come on’ below…
