Mourinho reunion unlikely for 'know it all' Ronaldo

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, a reported summer target for Chelsea and Manchester United, would appear unlikely to follow Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge after the new Blues boss branded him a 'know it all'.

The future of Ronaldo has been the subject of constant transfer speculation over the past few months, with most recent reports claiming the Portugal captain as rejected an offer of a new contract from Real Madrid.

A return to Manchester United has been touted as a possibility for the former Old Trafford hero, while Ronaldo has also been linked with a move to Chelsea to be reunited with recently appointed manager Mourinho.

Securing a transfer to Chelsea, however, would appear to be an unlikely outcome for Ronaldo this summer after Mourinho suggested the relationship between the pair broke down over their final months together at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mourinho also believes Ronaldo would not have flourished quite so much over the past few seasons were it not for the favourable tactics adopted by Real Madrid under the stewardship of the ex-Porto and Inter boss.

"He [Ronaldo] had three great seasons with me, I don’t know if they were the best in his career because at Manchester United he had great seasons too," Mourinho told Spain Intereconomia.

"But I think we found for him a tactical situation that helped him express himself on the pitch perfectly as shown by goal figures.

"The only problem has been that a coach criticises him from a tactical point of view trying to improve him and he has not accepted it well thinking, perhaps, that he knows it all and that the coach could not help him become any better."
