Jose Mourinho, the newly-appointed manager of Chelsea, has told young striker Romelu Lukaku that he will not be heading out on loan again and will join the first team next season.

The young Belgian striker impressed with his season at West Brom, scoring 17 Premier League goals, including a stunning hat-trick against Manchester United on the final day of the season. He received universal praise for his performances and was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Previous reports had suggested that Lukaku was set to go on loan for another season to further his first team footballing experience; however, Mourinho seems to have different plans.

According to the Daily Mail, the 'Special One' wants to keep Lukaku at Chelsea and regards him as a striker pushing for the first eleven.

This may indicate that Mourinho will put his faith in the young talisman this season, rather then spending millions on a new addition to the forward role such as Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic, who has been recently linked with the club.
