Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will miss UFC 161 after suffering with a back injury.
The 37-year-old, also known as 'Lil Nog', was supposed to fight against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at the event on June 15.
The Brazilian's withdrawal leaves UFC with less than two weeks to find a replacement for the showdown.
Nogueira is not the first to pull out of the event, with interim UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao, who was supposed to fight in the main event, also withdrawing due to injury.
Barao was supposed to square off with Eddie Wineland in the UFC 161, but top billing has now been given to the all American clash between Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans.
Also on the main card is a women's bantamweight matchup between Alexis Davis and Rosi Sexton, as well as a heavyweight scrap between Pat Barry and Shawn Jordan.
The latter pair are both coming off of riveting knockout victories, so that one should be a fiery encounter.
The event takes place at the MTS Center in Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada.
