Fabricio Werdum is looking to avenge his loss from seven years ago to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira when the two fight at Fuel TV 10.
The pair fight on Saturday night after Nogueira dominated their fight in 2006 to win by way of decision.
That fight was only Werdum's 11th of his career and it came to no surprise to most UFC fans that it was Nogueira that was victorious on the night.
Werdum said during a UFC on Fuel TV 10 promo: "I lost to him, but I learned a lot from that loss. The main difference for me in this fight is that I've specialized and evolved with my career.
"Today I'm a more complete professional, and now I'm specialising in Muay Thai as well."
Werdum has fought 22 times in his career, 19 less than his opponent but both fighters are in their mid-30s. Werdum is 35 while his Brazilian compatriot is two years older.
Saturday's event will be the seventh time the UFC have held one in Brazil, coming just three weeks after the first.
Also on the card in Fortaleza is a light heavyweight match up between Thiago Silva and Rafael Cavalcante. These two fighters have both just come off drug suspensions.
