MLB news: The New York Mets beat the Washington Nationals 10-1 to continue fine form
The Colorado Rockies and New York Mets were the big scorers in the most recent round of MLB.
The Rockies beat Cincinnati Reds 12-4, while the Mets were 10-1 victors over the Washington Nationals.
In another high scoring game, the Houston Astros beat the Baltimore Orioles 11-7, while the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the St Louis Cardinals 10-3.
The Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners needed a 16th innings before there was daylight between the sides as Chicago ended up 7-5 victors.
Another Chicago team needed extra batting time as the Cubs beat the Los Angeles Lakers 8-6, thanks to the tenth innings.
In other games, Oakland Athletics and Philadelphia Phillies were both 6-1 winners over Milwaukee Brewers and the Miami Marlins respectively.
The New York Yankees only needed to score in the first two innings to secure a 6-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians while the San Diego Padres beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2.
Elsewhere, there were wins for the Tampa Bay Rays, Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals.
