Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Gonzalo Higuain has been told to snub interest from the Premier League and opt for Serie A.

Higuain is reportedly being tracked by Gunners manager Arsene Wenger as part of a massive summer spending spree at Emirates Stadium.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has also been linked with an approach for the Real Madrid striker as he looks to make quality additions to his squad in order to make another push for Champions League qualification next season.

However, Juventus have also been linked with a move for the Argentine and another of their signings, Spain striker Fernando Llorente, has told him to choose the Serie A champions.

Llorente will move to Serie A on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao and believes he could strike up a good partnership with Higuain.

Higuain recently admitted the prospect of a switch to Arsenal would be enticing, but also indicated he was open to Juventus.

Losing out on Higauin would be a blow to both Arsenal and Spurs, but both clubs have also been linked with other striker targets.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for Fiorentina’s Montenegro forward Stevan Jovetic.

Meanwhile, the White Hart Lane club are once again being connected with a move for long-term target Leandro Damiao.
