Ex-Brazil international scores dramatic late thunderbolt
Ex-Brazil international Alex scores late wonder-goal to seal win for Coritiba
Followers of Turkish football over the past decade won't be surprised to see ex-Fenerbahce star Alex pop up here with an absolute thunderbolt.
The former-Brazil international has a rocket propelled left foot, and played for eight seasons in the Turkish top flight and occasionally in the Champions League.
Now 35 years old, he's return to his first club, Coritiba, in the Brasileirao. And the attacking midfielder still knows how to strike them sweetly.
With the game poised at 1-1 against Fluminense, Alex released a stunning firecracker off his left peg that would have carried on rising into Brazil's outer air space had the net not captured it.
Not a bad way to win the game in the 88th minute.
