Top five: Club sides of the 21st Century
Barcelona, Manchester United & Bayern Munich have produced some of the best teams since 2000
The 20th Century ended with Manchester United winning an incredible treble, and many other great club sides have been created since the turn of the 21st Century.
Whether it was Arsenal's invincibles or Barcelona's treble-winning side of 2009 - many great sides have been formed in this period.
5. Manchester United | Season: 2007/08
Honours: Premier League, Champions League, Community Shield
This Manchester United side was arguably the most dominant in Sir Alex Ferguson's tenure.
United's treble-winning side of 1999 had perseverance, skill and some luck, but this side didn't need any luck as they were dominant in each area of the pitch.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the standout performer that year, scoring 42 goals and taking away all the individual awards. This side had Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and Ronaldo in attack, the reliable Nemanja Vidic-Rio Ferdinand partnership and a composed Michael Carrick in midfield.
They would have gone all the way and won the treble but were unfortunately knocked out of the FA Cup in the round of 16.
4. Arsenal | Season: 2003/04
Honours: Premier League
They may not have won much but the way they won the Premier League was fantastic.
Going a whole season unbeaten is no easy task and I doubt it will be replicated by any other side in the near future.
Arsenal were competitive on all fronts that year, reaching the semis of the League Cup and FA Cup. They also reached the last eight of the Champions League as Thierry Henry was the focal point of their attack that year. Twenty-six wins, 12 draws and 0 losses: a great year for Arsene Wenger and his Gunners in the league.
3. Inter Milan | Season: 2009/10
Honours: Serie A, Coppa Italia, Champions League
Jose Mourinho weaved his magic on another club, an Italian one this time. After some incredible years at Chelsea he took a break and returned as the manager of Inter Milan in 2008.
His first year was decent but his second season was unbelievable as he made Inter the first Italian side to win the treble.
They dominated Europe that year and a comprehensive performance in the final, where they beat Bayern Munich 2-0, proved just that. Wesley Sneijder and Diego Milito were the stars of that side and since Mourinho's departure Inter were never really the same.
2. Barcelona | Season: 2008/09
Honours: La Liga, Champions League, Copa Del Rey
This side was considered one of if not the greatest club side in history.
This team consisted of the deadly trio of Andres Iniesta, Xavi and Lionel Messi. They dominated Europe too, winning the league by a comprehensive margin and beating Manchester United in the Champions League final.
They went on to win more competitions the season after that but this season was the start of Barcelona dominance in world football.
1. Bayern Munich | Season: 2012/13
Honours: Bundesliga, Champions League, DFB Pokal
The most recent side to dominate the world, this current Bayern side is arguably the best in their history.
Statistically the best offensive and defensive side in Europe, Bayern had it all and they were a strong unit.
Their most memorable performance was beating Barcelona 7-0 over two legs as they dethroned the Catalans as Europe's best side.
No side in recent memory has won with so much ease like Bayern have done this term. Almost every side they played, they thrashed making it an amazing year for everyone associated with the side from Munich.
