Paris St Germain star Thiago Silva has stated that he would welcome Wayne Rooney with open arms, should the striker decide to leave Old Trafford.
Rooney has been linked with a summer move away from United and has been linked with fellow Premier League club's Arsenal and Chelsea, but Paris St Germain have also publicly stated that they are an admirer of the striker.
But Brazilian defender Silva has confirmed that he as well as his team-mates would make Rooney feel welcome should he make the move to France.
Transfer fees and wage demands would be no problem for big-spending PSG, who are financially backed by their chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
And the PSG defender would be keen for manager Carlo Ancelotti to sign Rooney, after the pair battled it out for their international teams in the 2-2 draw between Brazil and England at the Maracana last week.
And it was Rooney who slipped away from Silva to score England's second in the 79th minute, looping the ball over Julio Cesar.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Brazil's international game against France, Silva stated: "Whenever I have played against him (Rooney) he has scored. I would really like Rooney to sign for Paris St Germain. He would be a quality addition for us."
