Real Madrid's Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria has stated that he is happy in Madrid, despite reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.
Di Maria's former manager Jose Mourinho has recently re-joined the Bridge, and rumours had suggested that Di Maria was set to follow him. But Di Maria has confirmed he is happy staying at the Bernabeu where he and his family are settled.
It was well known that despite a fiery relationship with a number of players, Mourinho and Di Maria got on well in the dressing room. And Di Maria has since revealed to Argentinian newspaper Ole that was sad to see Mourinho leave the Bernabeu.
"I felt very sad when I heard the news. When a coach leaves the club it isn't nice for anyone. But he sees his future elsewhere. I wish him all the best and I am grateful to him and I think that he also leaves with a good impression of me," Di Maria said.
But despite his sadness to see Mourinho leave, Di Maria has stated that this doesn't mean he will be following Mourinho to London.
When asked where he sees his future lying, Di Maria answered: "I'm very happy in Madrid. I have a pleasant life here with my wife and baby who was born a month and a half ago."
"But the president and the new coach have to decide if I'm in their plans. I would love to stay. I'm happy with my team-mates and with how I'm treated," continued Di Maria, who looks increasing likely to stay in Spain.
