The Premier League is still the best league in the world despite not having any English teams in the last eight of the Champions League last season.
We can't just forget about English sides like that, it has only been a year since the dramatic Champions League final featuring Chelsea.
The likes of; Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are still the top tier teams in the English Premier League, but also the world.
When you look at the top 10 teams in the world for instance, all four of those Premier League teams are in their, without a doubt.
With them - you'll have the likes of; Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Paris St-Germain. All in the mix of being in the top 10 in the world, it shows that the Premier League have the most amount of teams within the table.
As this year showed - there is a bit of catching up to do with the likes of the German teams in particular. But as a whole and as an overall league the Premier League's teams are far superior to any others.
Yes, I understand perfectly well that La Liga has dominated Europe for the past couple of years and recently the Bundesliga doing the same. But when you break it down you can't call that league out and say it's superior.
You have to take the overall league. So in the Bundesliga who are the top teams? Well you have the two most recognised teams; Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, granted.
In La Liga who are the consistently most well performed teams? Obviously - Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Serie A's teams in their league that are granted to be of a force to be reckoned with? Juventus. Some may say Napoli but no consistency has been shown by them.
Now we look at the Premier League you have the likes of; Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Man United. All teams that you would say have a good chance of winning Europe.
So, as a whole of the league you need to accept that the physicality and the consistency of the Premier League is second to none.
This is why the Premier League is the best league in the world and why it's still the most attractive league in Europe.
