After all the monetary talks, the big question that arises is: will Falcao be a hit at Monaco? Or will he turn into another Fernando Torres at Chelsea?
After a huge £51m transfer from Atletico Madrid, Falcao is widely expected to be a hotshot in the world of football after netting 52 goals in 67 appearances for Madrid.
However, Falcao has been more of a team-player but still managed 28 goals in 34 appearances last season.
At his new club, Falcao will be supported by his former teammates, James Rodríguez and João Moutinho. Rodríguez and Moutinho had played with Falcao when they used to be teammates at Porto and this could certainly help him settle in to his new surroundings.
Falcao could have well joined the likes of Lampard, Juan Mata, Hazard, Oscar at Chelsea or David Silva, Edin Džeko, Carlos Tévez at Manchester City.
But he opted for a new challenge at Monaco.
Monaco are building a new team with many new faces. The combination between these new players will decide the future for this club.
These new stars, with Falcao at their side, will be looking to make a major impact in Ligue 1 next season. Their first mission will be to stop other big spenders PSG as they go in search for championship glory.
The goals Falcao will bring will certainly give them every hope of succeeding this year and in years to come.
This Monaco side could be a major European force in the future and their new acquisition will be right at the front of it.
