Thiago Silva has reiterated his desire to return to AC Milan once his career at Paris Saint Germain comes to an end.

The Brazilian defender left Milan for PSG last summer and helped them become Ligue 1 champions.

However, Thiago Silva hasn't forgot the San Siro club and is adamant that he'll play for them again one day.

"I will return to AC Milan one day," the defender told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The Milan jersey is still in my heart. I dream of becoming Milan captain. I still have a four-year deal with PSG, we will see what happens then."

Thiago Silva made 119 appearances for Milan after signing for them in July 2009 from Brazilian side Fluminense. But he agreed a 42million Euro transfer to PSG, a deal meaning he earns around 12million Euros a year.

The 28-year old went on to comment on Mario Balotelli who has scored 12 goals in his 13 Serie A appearances since his move from Manchester City. Thiago Silva holds the Italian in high regard.

I really like Mario a lot. People shouldn't just judge on appearance, but get to know him," Thiago Silva said.

"I would place him only behind Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic if I had to make a list with the best strikers.

"He is still young and has so much room to grow and become even better."

Silva has made 32 appearances for Brazil and will feature in their Confederations Cup campaign later this month.

The defender has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint Germain with Barcelona apparently interested but Paulo Tonietto, Silva's agent, has insisted he will stay in France 'with or without Ancelotti.'
