Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas could be offered the PSG managerial position after the club have grown increasingly frustrated with the work of former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Mirror have reported that the mega-rich Qatari royal family, that own the French club, are trying to persuade Tottenham manager Villas-Boas to make the move to France.

Owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi originally looked to install Guus Hiddink as manager amid reports the Russian was growing frustrated at Anzhi Makhachkala, but Hiddink has since decided to remain at the club.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would be anxious to let Villas-Boas leave, as he is the man that could hold the key that ensures Gareth Bale stays at White Hart Lane.

The Welshman made it very clear that he enjoys working with the Portuguese manager, giving his biggest indication that he would reject a move to Real Madrid.

But Villas-Boas would feel he owes Levy some loyalty after the Tottenham chairman offered him the Spurs job after his difficult spell with Chelsea the season before.

And Villas-Boas repayed this loyalty, securing Spurs' highest ever points total in the Premier League, despite the club not qualifying for the Champions League.

They missed out by one point to arch rivals Arsenal, but Spurs are happy for Villas-Boas to have another go at trying to secure the Champions League place next season.

But, because of PSG's interest in Villas-Boas, Levy may have to ensure that their manager has sufficient funds in the summer to sign his chosen transfer targets.

If Villas-Boas made the move to France, with PSG, funds would be something that isn't a worry due to the financial backing from Al-Khelaifi.
