Chelsea target Cavani scores solo goal for Uruguay

Chelsea transfer target Edinson Cavani scored the only goal of the game as Uruguay beat Venezuela in World Cup qualifying last night - and it was a beauty.

The Napoli forward has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and it's not hard to see why.

The 26-year-old is one of the most prolific forwards in world football, and put Venezuela to the sword with a fine solo effort in the first half.

Collecting the ball down the right channel, Cavani cut inside leaving a sliding defender in his wake before calmly sweeping the ball home.

And Chelsea fans could be seeing this kind of forward play on a regular basis next season if recent reports are anything to go by.

The Europa League winners have reportedly submitted at least one bid for the Uruguayan as they look for a more dynamic striker to play in front of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar.

Check out Cavani's goal in the video below - do you think we will be seeing him at Stamford Bridge next term?
