Arsenal are a ‘dead-cert’ to land QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, according to reports.

The Daily Star claims that the Brazilian looks certain to walk out on the Hoops, with several bookmakers no longer taking bets on the player moving to the Emirates Stadium.

Indeed, BetVictor are offering odds of 1/33 that the stopper makes the capital switch to the Gunners, having impressed in a losing campaign at Loftus Road.

Cesar has stated his desire to stay in England, according to the paper, and enjoys life in London and the Premier League.

However, if he continues to work under Harry Redknapp in west London, he’ll be plying his trade in the Npower Championship next term.

Arsenal can change all that, as manager Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his squad for next season.

Wojciech Szczesny remains the number one in north London, but the 23-year-old lacks big-game experience and was dropped for a spell towards the end of the campaign after a number of high-profile errors for the Gunners.

Cesar, meanwhile, has played on the biggest stage both internationally and in European club competition, and could add some much needed stability at the back for Arsenal next season.
