Jamaica's disastrous 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign is showing no signs of letting up, following another disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Honduras on Tuesday evening.

After going a goal down thanks to Oscar Boniek Garcia's strike in the 10th minute, Reggae Boyz fans' misery was further compounded by the sending off of defender Adrian Mariappa in the second-half.

With Honduras breaking free down the right flank, the 26-year-old centre-back launched a kung-fu tackle on the advancing winger - completely missing the ball - leaving the referee with no choice but to show him a second yellow card.

The high-foot lunge appeared more clumsy than malicious, but Mariappa could have no complaints about the decision to send him for an early bath, with the Reading star in truth lucky to escape a straight red card.

With Jamaica forced to play the final 15 minutes with ten-men, Honduras later wrapped up victory when ROger Rojas intercepted a poor back-pass aimed for Donovan Ricketts, proceeding to round the goalkeeper and slot home into the empty net.
