Louisiana State University have added former UCLA assistant basketball coach Korey McCray to their own basketball coaching staff.
McCray replaces assistant coach Robert Kirby who left last month for another assistant’s job at Memphis.
McCray has also served as an assistant coach at Mercer University and at Chipola Junior College. He was at Mercer from 2007 for one year and at Chipola during the 04/05 season.
The new LSU Tigers man has also previously worked as a skill development trainer with some of the NBA’s biggest stars based in Atlanta and surrounding Georgia communities, such as Dwight Howard and John Wall.
The Tigers have Johnny Jones as their head coach who has also coached at Memphis and North Texas, as well as being assistant at Alabama and at LSU for 13 years between 1984 and 1997.
Jones has won 56% of the 398 games that he has been in charge of in his career.
