Cavani offers Chelsea & Manchester City transfer hope
Chelsea and Manchester City news: Edinson Cavani not keen on Spain move
Edinson Cavani has hinted he won't make the move to join a Spanish club this summer - boosting Chelsea and Manchester City's chances of landing the prolific forward.
Cavani has been heavily linked with a move to some of Europe's biggest teams this summer, and has hinted he is willing to leave Napoli.
Chelsea and Manchester City are said to be battling it out for the hot-shot Uruguayan's signature.
Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old, however Cavani says his game isn't naturally suited to La Liga - leaving the door open for Manchester City and Chelsea to make their move.
"I don't know if Spanish football suits me," he admitted.
"Football there is wonderful as everyone knows, you have more freedom, but I don't know what will happen."
Chelsea are believed to have had a bid for Cavani turned down already, while Manchester City have also reportedly failed with a cash-plus-player offer including Edin Dzeko in the past.
The latest batch of reports suggest Chelsea are ready to come back with a new offer for the striker - although they won't meet his £53 million release clause.
Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed last week that Chelsea had been in touch of the possibility of a deal for the forward.
A move for Cavani would cast doubt over Fernando Torres's future at Chelsea. Reports from Spain today suggest the former Liverpooll man is a target for Barcelona.
