Chelsea defender told to change style - or leave
Chelsea transfer news: David Luiz must curb his enthusiasm if he wants Chelsea stay
David Luiz has been told he must try and fit into Jose Mourinho's style of play - or risk being sold, according to the Express.
Rumours circulated earlier this week that Mourinho was willing to let the Brazilian defender leave Stamford Bridge if the right offer came along.
Luiz, a €25 million signing from Benfica in 2011, has recently been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Now according to the Express Mourinho has raised concerns about the defender's risk-taking style and has told him to curb his exuberance if he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.
While Luiz's performances since joining Chelsea have at times come in for criticism - most notably from former Manchester United defender Gary Neville - his improved showings last season have made him a firm favourite in west London.
With John Terry no longer a regular starter Luiz has become a pillar at the back for Chelsea, while also venturing forward in a midfield role under former Blues boss Rafa Benitez.
The 26-year-old is currently away on international duty and is unlikely to discuss his future or any possible Chelsea exit until he returns for the club's tour of Asia in July.
