New Manchester City signing Jesus Navas is relishing the opportunity to play in the Champions League, admitting it's a trophy that he would love to win.
City's new £15m signing from Sevilla has his ambitions set high, having already had success with former club Sevilla in the form of two Europe League titles. Navas has also enjoyed success with the Spanish national team, with Spain having won the World Cup and European Championship in recent years.
But it is the Champions League that the newly signed 27-year-old is particularly interested in signing after agreeing a four-year-deal with City, Navas is quoted as saying in The Sun.
"I've won some important titles, but the Champions League is something you always have in mind. Also I want to enjoy the Premier League and have a really strong year," confirmed the new signing.
Navas also stated that he is relishing the chance to play with internationally recognised players at City, with the chance to win more silverware.
"The truth is it's like a dream for me to play for a club like Manchester City and fight for titles and everything that comes with that. Individually, City have such good players and the idea of playing there with such amazing players and fighting for a title is amazing," continued Navas.
And Navas is admant that City can go on and achieve further success in the coming seasons, despite the pressure that comes with it.
"The challenge we have is to win important titles. I think pressure is great, it can make the game more exciting and force us to play out best. City have been successful in recent years and continuing to build a great team and I am honoured to be a part of it. There is a strong squad that can have a great season," added Navas.
