Barcelona ace Thiago Alcantara has three options to contemplate this summer - either stay at the Nou Camp or take up an offer from either Manchester United or Bayern Munich.

Alcantara is believed to have a clause in his contract which allows him to leave Barcelona for around €18 million because of a lack of playing time.

The clause is said to be active until the beginning of August with both Manchester United and Bayern Munich said to be eyeing a move for the 22-year-old.

Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona have told the young Spaniard that they don't want him to leave - but the decision now rests solely with the player.

They add that new Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is waiting 'with open arms' should the talented youngster decide to head to Germany - but the chance to join the post-Sir Alex Ferguson revolution at Manchester United may also prove to be tempting.

Alcantara's decision to either stay put at Barcelona or join Manchester United or Bayern Munich is likely to be taken when he returns from international duty with Spain's U21 side at the European Championships in Israel.

Manchester United announced their first signing of the summer earlier this week -  defender Guillermo Varela from Penarol. Barcelona meanwhile have already snapped up the services of Neymar and Bayern Munich have secured Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund.
