Heather Watson and Laura Robson both suffered shock defeats as they were knocked out in the second round of the Aegon Classic in Edgbaston.
Watson was defeated 6-4 6-3 by Alla Kudryavtseva, a player ranked 118 places below the Brit, in one hour and 11 minutes.
Robson followed through the exit door soon after as she was beaten by Daniela Hantuchova 6-3 6-4.
Watson was playing just her third match since recovering from glandular fever which ruled her out of tennis for two months and only won 59% of the points on her first serve. It was just 42% on the second serve.
Robson also suffered with a poor second serve as she won only 27% of the points on her second serve. The percentage of points won when her first serve was successful was 92% but this did not stop her being defeated by the world number 51.
Another Brit was defeated in the second round too as Johanna Konta was defeated 6-4 6-1 by her 12th seeded opponent Kristina Mladenovic.
This means there are now no Britons left in the draw.
