Chelsea have come out on top – or bottom – of a Premier League table that shows how much money teams spent per point last season.
The Blues are unsurprisingly ahead of the English top flight’s big boys, who have all spent hundreds of millions to pull their squads together.
At the other end of the table, Norwich spent just £21.38million to earn 44 points last season – meaning they spent just 0.49 per point.
West Brom are next with 0.53, whilst Reading follow with 0.55. They only got 28 points and were relegated, but spent just £15.5million to pull their team together.
Swansea, West Ham, Fulham, Southampton and Wigan come next, with the Latics spending the same amount per point as Everton (1.17). Whether Roberto Martinez can improve on that remains to be seen.
Stoke complete the bottom half of the table with a sizable jump to £1.67million per point, with their squad costing a rather large £70.21million.
