Kenya Hunter set to join Nebraska
Kenya Hunter has left Georgetown to become the assistant at Nebraska
Kenya Hunter will be joining the coaching staff at Nebraska after a successful spell as assistant at Georgetown.
Hunter helped the Georgetown Hoyas head coach John Thompson III to two Big East titles is 2008 and 2013 and also to five NCAA tournament appearances in the last six years.
Hunter joins the back-room staff at Nebraska, headed by Tim Miles after spending much of his time at the Hoyas in the recruiting section and three Georgetown recruiting classes he helped develop were among the top 25 in the States.
Hunter spent three years as an assistant at Xavier before joining Georgetown as well as being the director of basketball for four years at North Caroline State.
Duquesne is another side that Hunter has been with, being their assistant coach for two years after playing as point guard for them for 1993-96.
The move to Nebraska was announced by them on Monday.
