The San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals both scored ten as they thrashed their opponents in the most recent Major League Baseball fixtures.
The Giants beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-0, thanks mainly to five being scored in the sixth innings while the Royals were 10-1 victors over the Tampa Bay Rays thanks to a sixth innings that enabled Kansas to score eight.
All but one other game was won by one score and that was the Toronto Blue Jays beating the Texas Rangers 3-1, while three games needed extra innings.
The Oakland Athletics needed to go to an 18th to secure a 3-2 win over the New York Yankees while the Baltimore Orioles needed a 13th innings to beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4. Chicago Reds also needed extra innings as they took the game to a 14th before beating the Cincinnati Reds 6-5.
Elsewhere the St. Louis Cardinals beat the New York Mets 2-1, Philadelphia Phillies were 3-2 winners over the Minnesota Twins and the Colorado Rockies lost to the Washington Nationals 5-4.
