India batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been named as an ambassador for United Arab Emirates travel website Musafir.com, with the veteran already a stakeholder in the rapidly expanding company.
The partnership between Tendulkar and Musafir.com covers a major global marketing campaign across a all media platforms, with the veteran Indian superstar encouraging the world to 'stop dreaming, start travelling'.
"For his dedication, honesty and inspirational growth in the sport, Musafir.com finds Tendulkar to be the perfect face to represent the brand," explained a company statement.
It added: "The Master Blaster - as he is fondly called - has so many wins and achievements in his career that he represents Musafir.com's vision to become the leading travel website in the region."
Tendulkar himself is delighted to on board with the UAE travel company, and says dreaming big has enabled him to reach the pinnacle of his sport, with the 40-year-old widely regarded as one of the finest cricketers of all time.
He explained: "I love the thought of building on dreams, because it's helped me reach places in my life that were once thought to be impossible."
Given Tendulkar's marketability in India, the iconic batsman enjoys a number of sponsorship endorsements and promotes several companies and products.
Still representing India almost 24 years on from his debut, Tendulkar has scored 51 Test match centuries - more than any player in the history of the sport - and is closing in on a record 200th Test appearance.
