Vicente del Bosque’s squad is overflowing with world class talent, so there isn’t a lot GMS could tell you about the players on show.

However, Mata’s role in the side in this tournament should be interesting, as he has been playing second fiddle for much of his time in the senior squad, despite being a regular call-up.

Two outstanding seasons for Chelsea have seen him become accepted as one of the best players in the Premier League and it will be intriguing to see if he can displaced some of the more senior names in the midfield.
