Seven stars to shine at the Confederations Cup (1)

Published 19 Comments

The Confederations Cup is not always the most exciting international tournament but the 2013 version is set up to provide an above average level of entertainment.

Set in the spiritual home of football, Brazil, teams such as Italy, Japan, Mexico and Nigeria should make sure there is plenty of good football.

Throw current World Cup and European Championship holders Spain into the mix we could well have a classic play out in front of our eyes.

GMS are excited about the impending fixtures and seeing a few players that we have been hearing good things about.

In anticipation of the event, we have decided to pick out some of the players to watch at the tournament.

We will try to avoid the obvious names, so the likes of Andres Iniesta and Neymar are out of the question, as most of the players we know you will be watching anyway.

GMS is excited about the contributions of a few players and have picked one from each squad that is playing; all except for Tahiti that is because GMS will admit pretty much their whole squad is a mystery to us.

We are always keen to learn, however, so if you think a Tahiti star deserves a mention then please let us know in the comments below.

Before that, click through to see which stars we picked out for you to take a closer look…
