New Everton manager Roberto Martinez is tracking the situation of Victor Moses, who is yet to learn whether he has a future under new manager Jose Mourinho according to The Daily Star.
Martinez is looking to add to his squad following his appointment last month, and the Spaniard is reportedly watching Victor Moses as a potential transfer target.
The Nigerian had initially struggled to break into the Chelsea team following the success of midfield trio Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard. But under Rafael Benitez, Moses was given his chance and went on to make 43 appearances, scoring ten goals.
Jose Mourinho made his first summer signing earlier this week, with Andre Schurrle making the move from Bayer Leverkusen. Another attacking player, Schurrle will be competing with the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Moses for first-team starts.
The increased competition could mean that Moses may be pushed out of the team further, with Jose Mourinho yet to confirm whether the winger will be a part of his plans next season.
Martinez worked with Moses when he was manager of Wigan, and the Spaniard sold Moses to Chelsea and is now looking to work with him once again.
With the future of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines yet to be resolved following transfer speculation, it is not yet known whether Martinez will be looking to sign the winger on-loan, or wait until he has known funds to spend.
