West Ham United are set to make a move for Bordeaux defender Ludovic Sane, according to the Daily Star.
Sane is a Senegalese international after making his debut in 2010, and has made six appearances for his country.
The Hammers were reportedly interested in the 26-year old in January but a move didn't materialise.
But, according to reports, Sam Allardyce is upping his efforts in an attempt to purchase Sane who can play in defence or in midfield.
West Ham have already signed left-back Razvan Rat and goalkeeper Adrian and are looking to add Sane to their summer signings.
In April, Sane suggested he's keen to move from France to England by stating: "Every physical and powerful player wants to play in the Premier League and I am no different."
Sane made his Bordeaux debut in November 2009 in a Champions League tie against Bayern Munich and has gone on to make 141 appearances for the French club scoring eight goals.
He played 33 Ligue 1 games this season helping the club to a seventh placed finish.
Sane signed a contract extension in January 2010 which tied him to the club until 2014.
The club are also close to securing a deal for Andy Carroll as Allardyce looks to build a squad that will improve on a successful 10th place finish last season.
