Gareth Bale cleaned up ahead of Robin van Persie at the end of season awards ceremonies for the 2012/13 Premier League season – but was he the most dangerous player in the competition?

The Tottenham Hotspur talisman is being linked with world record transfer bids, so he must have been doing something right, but GMS was unsure about whether he deserved to win the awards ahead of Van Persie – though not the Young Player of the Year award, obviously.

However, the gongs were handed out after votes from peers and journalists, so one can’t really criticise the legitimacy of Bale’s triumph, only disagree – though he was bloody good.

We don’t think that is too great a stretch of logic and we have worked out the five most dangerous players in the 2012/13 Premier League.
