Five of the worst: Football appointments (6)

Terry Connor

This inclusion almost breaks our heart here at GMS, but there is no escaping the fact that Terry Connor's interim spell at Wolves was one of the Premier League's great failures.

Connor is one of the game's most affable men, and seeing his spirit gradually crushed as Wolves headed towards relegation was excruciating to watch.

The former Brighton striker was given 13 games to keep Wolves afloat, but the Molinuex club mustered just four draws, and failed to win a single game while he was at the helm.

Wolves, of course, should never have sacked Mick McCarthy in the first place, and Connor may take some solace in the fact that things have got even worse for the club since his own departure.
