Arsenal are set to receive a double boost as defenders Bacary Sagna and Laurent Koscielny have both announced their intentions to stay at the club, according to the Daily Mail.

The French duo have been targeted by several clubs across Europe already this summer, with bids expected to come in for them both in the near future, but it now looks like their future will be at the Emirates Stadium.

For right-back Sagna, he will now enter his final year on his current contract, which ends in July 2014, and it isn't known whether or not he will sign an extension - but it is thought to be believed he will stay for at least another 12 months.

Sagna and the club have been at loggerheads for the last year over sorting out a new deal and, so far, nothing has been agreed between the club's officials and the player.

It is reported that Sagna wants a longer contract offered and also a higher pay packet, but Arsenal are only willing to offer him another 12 months with no pay rise. This being because of his recent injury problems.

The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move back to France in order to join mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain, but is is thought that he has already spoken to manager Arsene Wenger about his future and has told the boss that he wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium for at least another 12 months.

As for Koscielny, he is wanted by European giants Bayern Munich and Barcelona, with both clubs ready to make formal bids for the Frenchman after he put in a string of fine performances at the end of last season.

It is thought that Barcelona are prepared to bid £9.5m for the centre-back, but it looks like the defender himself wants to stay at the Emirates.

In recent weeks, Koscielny has threatened to quit the club by ordering the board members and Wenger to spend big in the transfer market and fill the club with big-name stars in order to compete for titles once again.

It is reported that Koscielny has told officials at the club that he is committed and wants to stay.
