Everton confirm no bids for Marouane Fellaini
Manchester United & Arsenal transfer news: Everton are yet to receive a bid for Marouane Fellaini
Everton have confirmed that they are yet to receive any bids for Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgian giant has been in high demand this summer, with Manchester United tracking the movements of the midfielder closely. Former Everton manager David Moyes, now at United is keen to be reunited with the player that impressed so often last season.
But aside from United, a host of European clubs have also enquired about the services of the midfielder that could be ready to to trigger the £24m release clause in his contract.
But the Liverpool Echo have reported that Roberto Martinez is yet to recieve any concrete offers for Fellaini, and the probability of him staying at Goodison Park are ever increasing. But with Arsenal and Manchester United still both following the movements of Fellaini, a last minute deal could still be in the picture.
But Martinez earlier this month said that transfer speculation regarding Fellaini is something that will be ongoing, but something that cannot be avoided.
"I don't think it's an issue at all with Marouane. You are not talking about a player who is out of the squad or in negotiations with another club. I won't look to speak to him about this because there is nothing to speak about," Martinez told the Liverpool Echo.
Martinez also highlighted that transfer rumours will always be centred around Premier League clubs, but there is nothing you can do to avoid them.
"Transfer speculation is unstoppable when you have been as successful as Everton. You will always get other teams who admire and want to take your best players. That's normal and happens everywhere," added Martinez, who hopes to keep his biggest players at Goodison Park.
