Torres admits to personal relationship with Barcelona president
Chelsea transfer news: Fernando Torres is only friends with Barcelona president Sandro Rosell
Fernando Torres has yet again rebuffed suggestions he could join Barcelona before the summer transfer deadline, although admits he enjoys a good relationship with the Catalan club's president Sandro Rosell.
Barcelona are reported to have identified Torres as a potential transfer window acquisition but, although flattered by the suggestion, the Spain international maintains he wishes to continue at Chelsea.
Torres has dismissed claims his relationship with Rosell could force through a transfer to Barcelona, stating that never have the two discussed a possible move from Chelsea to Catalonia.
"I have known Sandro Rosell for a long time," Torres told Radio Marca. "There is a personal relationship, but nothing else.
"My head goes through the Confederations Cup, and then onto Chelsea. I want to talk with Mourinho and then prepare for the coming season."
Chelsea are already reported to have made an attempt to offload Torres, but failed in a bid to use the 29-year-old in a part-exchange deal for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
Torres, though, has no ambition to leave Chelsea and is ready to prove himself under the stewardship of Mourinho when he returns for pre-season following his exertions at the Confederations Cup.
"I look forward to talking with Mourinho and knowing what he plans for me," he added.
"I'm the first I know they expected much more from me, and I also expected more from myself. Now I have Mourinho´s pressure added and that's a challenge for a player."
