Pep Guardiola has been told to sign Real Madrid and Manchester City target Isco for Bayern Munich this summer, by the man he is replacing.
Jupp Heynckes believes the Spain Under-21 international is one of the most exciting young prospects in world football and said he would choose Isco if it was his choice.
New Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini was expected to take the 21-year-old with him from former club Malaga to Etihad Stadium.
However, the player admitted he had an offer from Real Madrid on the table and claimed he was having trouble in deciding between them and Manchester City.
He has now been told he should snub both La Liga and the Premier League in favour of a switch to the Bundesliga.
Heynckes revealed great admiration for Isco and felt he stood out from all other players at the moment and would like to see Bayern sign him.
"Who should Bayern sign? There are some very interesting players out there, like Malaga star Isco. He's a class act in midfield," Heynckes told Kicker.
Were Guardiola to decide to move for Isco, the lure of joining the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup holders may be difficult to turn down.
