This morning the Premier League fixtures for the 2013/14 campaign were released and it gave the 20-clubs a chance to see when and where they will be playing their games.

The opening day of the Premier League season is always an exciting moment as the new summer signings have their first crack at English football, the fans are buzzing to have football back on Saturdays and all the players are fit and fresh, so once August comes round again, there will be plenty of happy football fans.

Despite the opening-day being an exciting day for fans all around the world, it can be a pain for some clubs as they are known for struggling at the beginning of every campaign.

Take Everton for example, they are known for their poor starts, but they put that right last year with a 1-0 win against Manchester United.

So with the fixtures out and in the public, we thought we would look into which Premier League side has the best win-ratio on the opening day of the season.

Unfortunately for Cardiff City, they have never been in the Premier League before, so they do not have a win-ratio, but they will travel to Upton Park on their first opening-day in the top-flight and they will look to secure a victory.

There are two clubs that have the best win-ratios in the Premier League and they are Chelsea and Manchester United as they both have 62% win-ratios.

The team with the worst win-ratio is in fact Southampton who have a shocking 7% on their opening days, winning just one game out of 14.
