Real Madrid are set to offload Angel di Maria to Manchester City if Gareth Bale moves to Spain, according to reports.
City have already bought Fernandinho and Jesus Navas this summer but it seems that Di Maria could well be on the way to join Manuel Pellegrini's new look team.
Di Maria wasn't previously up for sale and all this is dependant on whether Real Madrid manage to get the one man it seems they're after this summer - Gareth Bale.
Bale plays in a similar position to Di Maria and it is suggested that the arrival of Bale would push one or two down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.
Madrid know that Bale would cost them a fair bit, and if they were to sell Di Maria soon after, they would recoup some of that cash spent.
Di Maria has been at Madrid since 2010 and has made 137 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring on 25 occasions. He has also represented his country 39 times.
