De Gea leaves 'see you in Manchester' message for Alcantara

Published 2 Comments

David de Gea has tried his best to lure Thiago Alcantara to Manchester United - by signing his U21 European Championship hat-trick ball with the words "see you in Manchester".

Both players featured in Spain's 4-2 win in the U21 European Championship final against Italy, with Alcantara bagging himself a hat-trick.

The young Barcelona playmaker is said to be a target for Manchester United, and has an €18 million release clause in his contract that would allow him to move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in securing his services, and reports in Spain claim he has told Barcelona he wants to leave the Nou Camp.

However De Gea has tried to steer his countryman towards a move to Manchester United by dropping his subtle hint when signing the match ball Alcantara had claimed after the Italy game.

His message - "Nos Vemos en Manchester" - which translates as "see you in Manchester" can be seen on the match ball by clicking here.
