Crystal Palace have stated that they would love Wilfried Zaha to return to the club, but the decision lies entirely with Manchester United.

Zaha joined United in the January transfer window for a £15m fee, before returning to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season, without making an appearance at Old Trafford.

Zaha played a key role in the remainder of the season at Palace, playing a key role in the both of the play-off legs.

Zaha scored twice to send Palace to the final at the expense of Brighton, before a man-of-the-match performance in the decider, which saw Palace overcome Watford 1-0.

And it is this form that Palace would love to see return to Selhurst Park next season, with rumours strife as to where Zaha will be playing next season.

It has been thought that Zaha could struggle to find a place in the Manchester United side next season with the likes of Nani, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young already competing for places this season.

Palace's chief executive Phil Alexander feels that another season at Palace would benefit his development further but doubts whether Moyes will let him leave on-loan for a second consecutive season if he is a part of his plans.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Alexander said: "It's another option, clearly that's up to Manchester United. He's their player now. Will we be asking? We'll probably ask in passing but it's really down to them."

"Would we love to see Wilfried back? Of course we would but he's got a career at Manchester United and after a few training session up there, I'm not sure they'll be willing to let him out on-loan," added Alexander.
