Neymar must gain some more weight, according to Barcelona doctor Ricard Pruna.
Neymar, the new superstar at Barcelona, completed his medial earlier this month - after a £48.6million transfer from Santos.
However, club doctor Ricard Pruna believes it would be in the striker's best interest to put on a bit more weight.
"My first impression is that Neymar needs to gain a pound or two. Our medical inspection was done quickly and his weight is just another data point," Pruna was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"We’ll get to know the player over the course of the season and we’ll constantly add to our data input. With this information we’ll know what his ideal weight should be.
"The first impression is that he weighs 64.5 kilos and he has a tendency to lose weight. Perhaps he needs to add a kilo or two, but I can’t say exactly how many."
Neymar will come up against tough defenders in La Liga and Pruna knows that he may need to 'beef up' in order to increase his physical stature.
Neymar is currently with the Brazil squad at the Confederations Cup and have been in impressive form. He's scored two sensational goals with an equally top-class assist to help his country to two wins out of two and into the semi-finals.
The 21-year-old joined Santos at the age of 11 spending ten years at the club. During his time in Brazil he has played 225 times scoring 136 goals.
His international goalscoring record is good enough to rival any striker with 22 goals in 36 appearances.
Following his transfer to Barcelona, he become the ninth overall highest transfer of all time as he hopes to live up to his growing reputation in Europe.
