Leyton Orient are to play the famous American outfit New York Cosmos at the Matchroom Stadium in July as part of their pre-season preparations.
The League One side will play the American team, who were re-founded in 2010 and currently play in the North American Soccer League.
On organising the game, Orient's chief executive Matt Porter told the club's official website: "We are delighted to be hosting the Cosmos at the Matchroom and look forward to welcoming their followers.
"This is the latest in a line of exciting announcements this summer and a rare opportunity to see the O's take on opponents from across the Atlantic, so we are hoping for a great turnout in E10."
Cosmos dominated the American game between 1971 and 1985, when they were originally active.
They boasted such players as Franz Beckenbauer and Pele, with the latter still involved with the club today as honourary president.
Current manager Giovani Savarese is currently putting together a team of stars, with the most recent capture being former Spanish midfielder Marcos Senna.
Speaking about the upcoming friendly, Savarese said: "I'm looking forward to taking our squad to the UK.
"The chance to train and play in a different environment and face Orient will benefit our team and pre-season preparations."
The game is replacing Aldershot in Orient's pre-season schedule and will take place on 24 July at 7.30pm.
