The British and Irish Lions have named their starting XV for the first Test against Australia on Saturday.

England prop Alex Corbisiero is the biggest surprise after the 24-year old wasn't selected in the original touring party but was called up as a replacement for Cian Healy who's injured.

Mako Vunipola had been tipped to start ahead of Corbisiero but will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Tom Youngs has been selected at hooker and Jonathan Davies partners Brian O'Driscoll at centre.

Sam Warburton will lead out the side that contains eight Welshman, just one short of the record of nine that started the first Test in 1971 and first and third tests in 1977.

Saturday will be Warburton's first Test and will be joined by seven other players making their debut.

Leigh Halfpenny, Alex Cuthbert, George North, Jonathan Davies, Jonny Sexton, Alex Corbisiero and Tom Youngs will all be featuring in their first Lions Test. Five players in the starting squad played in South Africa in the last Lions Test Series.

Australia will give three players their debuts on Saturday with Israel Folau, Christian Leali'ifano and Ben Mowen all starting.
